What should one do if one misses one or two takbirs in the funeral prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : If one misses one or two takbirs in the funeral prayer...

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : If one misses one or two takbirs in the funeral prayer, what do we do?

The Shaykh : The funeral prayer is a collective obligation. If a sufficient number of people perform it, the obligation is lifted from the rest of the people. If you catch the last takbirs and you know, for example, that this takbir is the third, then say what the imam says. What is said in the third takbir? The supplication for the deceased. When the imam says the closing salam, make up what you missed, unless you fear that the funeral will be lifted. In that case, say the missed takbir and then say the closing salam. The scholars said that you may also say the closing salam with the imam, because the collective obligation ends with the imam's closing salam, so anything beyond that is voluntary. Therefore, you have a choice between what? Making up what you missed, or saying the closing salam with the imam. Yes.
