The Manner of the Traveler's Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third and sixth questions of Fatwa No. ( 17164 )
Q 3: What is the correct manner of the traveler's prayer , and how should he act if he finds the congregation for the 'Asr prayer while he has not yet prayed the Zuhr?
A 3: The traveler's prayer is like that of the resident, except that it is recommended for him to shorten the four-rak'ah prayer to two rak'ahs, and it is permissible for him to combine prayers if he needs to do so while traveling and is making a steady journey. As for one who has not prayed the Zuhr and finds the congregation for the 'Asr prayer standing, he should pray the Zuhr with the imam, according to the correct view, with the intention of Zuhr. It does not harm that the type of his prayer differs from the type of the imam's prayer. Then, when he finishes the
Zuhr, he should pray the 'Asr in congregation if possible, or otherwise he should pray it alone.

Q 6: Is it not permissible for a traveler who is a single person to shorten the prayer , with evidence?
A 6: The traveler, whether he is an individual or part of a group, is granted the dispensations of travel due to the generality of the evidence in this matter. However, if he finds a congregation of residents while he is an individual, he should pray with them and complete his prayer, and not pray alone. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
