What invalidates the prayer due to the imam's mispronunciation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20181 )
Q2: A man prayed behind an imam who made a slight mispronunciation in his recitation of al-Fatihah that did not change the meaning , and when this man, who was a ma'mum, heard the imam's recitation
and his mispronunciation in al-Fatihah, he broke his prayer and joined the prayer in another mosque.
A2 : If the situation is as described, that his mispronunciation does not change the meaning, then it does not invalidate the prayer, and it is not permissible for the ma'mum to break the prayer because of it. So what this brother did is not valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
