Q: On a rainy night, we prayed only the Maghrib prayer and did not combine it. I heard the other mosque praying the 'Isha' prayer combined, so I went there and prayed 'Isha' with them. What is the ruling on my action?
A: You must repeat the 'Isha' prayer that you prayed in a mosque other than the one where you prayed Maghrib. This is because the combination was not valid due to the long interval that occurred between the two prayers. For the combination to be valid, continuity is required between the two combined prayers within the time of the first of them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
