Prayer Between Barriers That Cut Across the Rows
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 16575 )
Q4: Is the prayer valid between two walls, if the men are praying in congregation in the main hall, and the women are in the courtyard or inside the house?
A4 : It is disliked to pray between barriers that cut across the rows, such as pillars and walls, unless there is a need for it, such as the narrowness of the space. In that case, it is permissible without dislike. It is also valid for women to follow the men in prayer if they pray behind them, provided that this is inside the mosque and they can hear the imam’s voice, and likewise if they are in the same house.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
