The ruling on a woman praying in the middle of the rows of men

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the Kingdom of Bahrain, a listener named Isma'il Saleh al-Tamimi sent a message saying: On one of the Fridays, during the Friday prayer, I went to pray with the congregation. I saw that the main mosque was full of worshippers, so I was forced to pray with the congregation outside the mosque. However, during the iqamah, there were poor women sitting there. After the iqamah, one of the women moved forward and prayed in one of the rows of the worshippers while sitting. The question is: Is it permissible to pray with women, given that the woman was in the middle, with men in front of her and behind her? What should I do in this situation...

The Shaykh: Repeat.

The presenter: He says: On one of the Fridays, during the Friday prayer, I went to pray with the congregation. What should I do, O honorable Shaykh? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The prayer is valid, and praise be to Allah. This happens often in al-Masjid al-Haram and al-Masjid al-Nabawi. When the crowds are heavy during the time of Hajj, men and women mix; so the prayer is valid. However, it is obligatory for women to stay behind the men, and they are not allowed to move forward between the men or in front of the men. But if that happens due to the crowding, the prayer is valid and it does not harm, and praise be to Allah. As for when there is a choice, she is to be delayed. It is said to her: "Stay behind the men," and she is ordered to do so.
As for her praying while sitting, it is not valid if she is able to do so. If she is able to pray standing, her obligatory prayer is not valid while she is sitting, whether it is the Friday prayer with the people or any other prayer. But if she is unable and cannot stand, there is no harm, just like a man. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
