Fatwa No. ( 17394 )
Q: What is the difference between ruling impurity and substantive impurity ? And is it obligatory to remove it?
A : Substantive impurity is that which cannot be removed, such as the impurity of a dog or a pig. Ruling impurity is that which occurs on a pure place, such as the impurity of urine, feces, and other incidental impurities. It is removed when washed with water and its signs, such as smell, taste, or color, are gone.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
