The Meaning of Marfu' and Muttafaq 'Alayh

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eleventh question of the fatwa number ( 21672 )
Q 11: Oftenwe read at the end of hadiths (marfu') or (agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim). What is the meaning of these two terms?Who are the ones who traced it to the Prophet, and who are the ones who agreed upon it? Did they agree on its authenticity or its weakness?
A 11: The meaning of the statement of the scholars of hadith when narrating a hadith: (marfu') means that the narrator, who is a Companion, attributed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so it is from the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And the meaning of their statement: (muttafaq 'alayh) is that the hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim from the same Companion who narrated the hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they agreed on the authenticity of the hadith. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
