The Hadith: I am the best of people to the worst of my Ummah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18721 )
Q 2: What is the degree of authenticity of this hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ( I am the best of people to the worst of my Ummah ). The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: You are the best to the worst of them, so what about the best of them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ( The best of them will enter Paradise by their deeds, and the worst of them will enter Paradise by my intercession )?
A 2: The hadith mentioned is not authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); because it was narrated exclusively by
Yahya ibn Bastam who is weak. Ibn Hibban said: It is not permissible to narrate from him; because he is a caller to the doctrine of Qadar (divine decree), as mentioned in the book ( Al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil ), and in its chain is Jamil ibn Thawb , about whom it was said in ( Lisan al-Mizan ): He is abandoned. And al-Bukhari and al-Daraqutni and others said: The hadith is denounced. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
