The Eclipse Prayer in the Times of Dislike

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first and second questions of Fatwa No. ( 18957 )
Q 1: A total lunar eclipse occurred on the morning of a Friday in the month of Rabi' al-Thani, after the Fajr prayer. Some imams performed the eclipse prayer, while others did not, arguing that prayer after Fajr is prohibited. We ask you to clarify this.
A 1: The eclipse prayer is among the prayers with a specific cause, and the stronger position is that a prayer with a specific cause is not included in the prohibition of praying in the prohibited times. That prohibition refers only to prayer that has no specific cause. Accordingly, if the sun is eclipsed after 'Asr, it is prescribed for Muslims to hasten to perform the eclipse prayer along with dhikr, supplication, seeking forgiveness, and charity. Likewise, if the moon is eclipsed after the appearance of Fajr, the eclipse prayer is prescribed for the lunar eclipse based on the apparent evidence; and because its authority has not completely passed. However, the eclipse prayer should be shortened if it is performed before the Fajr prayer, so that the time for the Fajr prayer is not restricted.
