Fatwa number ( 14138 )
Q: I traveled from Makkah al-Mukarramah to al-Madinah al-Munawwarah , and I arrived in al-Madinah during the time of the 'Isha' prayer, so I prayed 'Isha' and then I got up and prayed Maghrib . The question is: What is the ruling on this matter, and what is obligatory for me if I acted contrary to a ruling of the Shari'ah?
A: It is obligatory to arrange the prayers in their proper order, and since you prayed 'Isha' before Maghrib, it is obligatory for you to make up the 'Isha' prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
