Exegesis of the statement of Allah the Exalted: “And if it were not for Allah repelling some people with others, corruption would have spread on earth”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 10637 )
Q 3: I am inquiring about the exegesis of the noble verse:
And if it were not for Allah checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corruptedوَلَوْلا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَفَسَدَتِ الأَرْضُ
[Al-Baqarah 2:251]
.

A 3: Its meaning is: If it were not for Allah the Exalted repelling the people of falsehood with the people of truth, and the people of corruption on earth with the people of reform therein, the people of falsehood and corruption on earth would have prevailed, and they would have rebelled against the righteous and inflicted harm upon them until they held power alone, and the earth would have been corrupted by their corruption. So it was from the favor of Allah upon the worlds and His kindness to all people that Allah permitted the people of His true religion, the reformers on earth, to fight the corrupters therein, namely the disbelievers and the rebellious aggressors. Thus, the people of truth are at war with the people of falsehood in every age, and Allah supports them as long as they support the truth and seek reform on earth.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
