Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And when the earth is spread out)]

Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Inshiqaq: 3] And this earth on which we are now is not spread out: First, because it is spherical and round, even though its northern and southern sides are slightly open -Meaning: slightly extended - it is round now. Also, it is elevated, with very high places and low places, valleys and plains, and sand; so it is not level. But on the Day of Resurrection, it will be spread out in a single stretch, like the stretching of a hide -Meaning: like the stretching of a skin - as if a skin or a carpet were spread out. It will be spread out until those upon it - who are the creatures - can be heard by the caller and seen clearly by the eye. But now, the eye does not see them clearly; if people were to stretch out on the earth, you would find the distant ones lowered and not visible. But on the Day of Resurrection, when it is spread out, the farthest of them will be like the nearest, as it came in the hadith: (The caller will hear them, and the eye will see them clearly) .
