Loading an animal with what it cannot bear

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 10926 )
Q: We had a camel that I loaded with firewood. When the camel would get tired from the weight of the load, it would lie down. I would hit it severely to make it continue its journey. The summary of the question is: How will Allah forgive me for what I mentioned just now? I was hitting the camel intentionally, even though I was a boy of the age of discernment. Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
A: It is not permissible to load an animal with what it cannot carry, and it is not permissible
to harm it by beating it. Rather, it is obligatory to be gentle with it and to let it rest when it gets tired. As for what you did when you were a boy of the age of discernment, repent to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), hoping that He will forgive you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
