Bending the head in greeting
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 6779 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on bending the head to a Muslim in greeting?
A 2: It is not permissible for a Muslim to bend his head in greeting, whether to a Muslim or a disbeliever; because it is the practice of the non-Arabs toward their great ones, and because it resembles bowing, and bowing as a greeting and sign of respect is not for anyone but Allah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
