The vow if it is not fulfilled: is it obligatory to fulfill it?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 7642 )
Q 4: I have made several vows, and most of them were not fulfilled. Is it obligatory for me to fulfill them? For example: if I succeed or get a job, and the like.
A 4: If the thing for which you made the vow was not fulfilled, it is not obligatory for you to fulfill the vow. As for what was fulfilled, it is obligatory for you to fulfill it if it is an act of devotion.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
