Fulfilling a vow before its condition is met

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth and fifth questions of Fatwa No. ( 19051 )
Q 4, 5: I vowed to fast if certain things were to happen, but after a while I realized that I had been thinking wrongly, and I no longer care about or desire these things . So, should I fast my vow or not? I vowed to fast if I married the girl I love, but the girl is still young; she has years to go before she reaches marriageable age. Perhaps a person will not live to see those years. So, should I fast what I vowed before the condition is met, or should I wait?
A 4, 5: You are not obligated to fulfill the vow until the thing upon which you conditioned the vow—its occurrence or non-occurrence—actually happens. If it does happen, then it is obligatory for you to fulfill your vow; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him, and whoever vows to disobey Allah, let him not disobey Him.من نذر أن يطيع الله فليطعه ومن نذر أن يعصي الله فلا يعصه
Sunan Ibn Majah 2126Sahih (Darussalam)
, and there is no sin on you for not fulfilling it
because it has not been realized, so it is considered as if it does not exist. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
