Q 2: Whatis the ruling on hitting or insulting one's mother ؟
A 2: Beating the mother or cursing her is a form of undutifulness to parents that is forbidden, and it is a major sin among the major sins; for Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Isra 17:23] It is obligatory for the one who does this to repent to Allah, seek her forgiveness, and be kind to her, and the same applies to the father. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
