Q: A man has established a mosque or a corner for prayer in his home, and he leads the prayer and passes through the remembrance of Allah for each name one hundred thousand times, and that is for nine of the beautiful names of Allah, and he holds sessions for people and informs them of what has happened to them and its outcome, and he says: This is inspiration from Allah for him (Glorified and Exalted is He). So when we objected to this, he said: Is what happened with our master Musa and the righteous servant regarding the breaching of the ship, the killing of the boy, and the building of the wall considered foretelling the unseen? No, rather it is inspiration from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) regarding that. What is the ruling of the religion in this matter?
A: The informing of the one who called himself the Shaykh of the corner is from the suggestion of the devils to him, and it is not from inspiration, for the devils convey some of it from one another, then they inform their allies from among the jinn and humans, and the devils do not do that except for one who associates them in the worship of Allah. Allah the Exalted said about them:
some of us made use of othersرَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ
[Al-An'am 6:128]
, and among the enjoyment is the worship of humans for them. As for what concerns the story of Musa with al-Khidr, it is from the revelation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic); because al-Khidr is a prophet from the prophets of Allah in the most correct of the scholars' opinions; and therefore he (peace and blessings be upon him) said at the end of the story
And I did it not of my own accordوَمَا فَعَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَمْرِي
[Al-Kahf 18:82]

And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
