Seeking Nearness to Allah Through the Right of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18604 )
Q: People are heard saying: “O Lord, by the right of Your beloved, the Chosen One, grant me such and such.” Does this statement agree with Islamic creed?
A 2 : Asking Allah by the right of a created being is not permissible. It is a prohibited form of seeking nearness to Allah and swearing by other than Allah, because no one has a right that Allah must fulfill. Rather, the prescribed way of seeking nearness to Allah is by His names and attributes, or by your righteous deeds; such as your faith in Allah and His Messenger, your dutifulness to your parents, and the like. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
