I swear by divorce between myself and myself, and I do not make it public

The first question of Fatwa number ( 20169 )
Q1: I am a young man in my twenties, and praise be to Allah, married, but it has happened to me that I swear by divorce between myself and myself without making it public by speech. I ask Allah, and then you, to inform me about this matter. May Allah reward you a thousand times for us.
A1: If what happens to you is of the nature of whispers of the heart without uttering with the tongue what you mentioned, then they are waswas (whispers) from the whispers of Satan, and there is no blame on you in that, if Allah wills, and no divorce takes place by that unless you speak it or act upon it, such as writing the divorce of your wife. And what indicates this is what is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Bulugh al-Maram 8:133 narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim . We advise you to increase the recitation of the Qur'an, the supplications, and the prescribed dhikr, and to seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan to repel the whispers of Satan from you, along with turning away from them when they occur to you, and occupying yourself with what benefits you in the matters of your religion
and your worldly life. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
