The occurrence of prohibition if it is written on paper and not spoken aloud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q3: Does prohibition occur in the case of writing on paper without uttering it?
A3: Writing carries the same ruling as speaking words aloud. If you write the prohibition of something, and your intention in swearing by the prohibition is that divorce will occur if you break your oath, then one divorce takes effect on your wife, and you may take her back as long as she is in the waiting period, provided this is not the third divorce. If your intention in swearing by the prohibition was to urge the doing of something or to forbid it, and you did not intend for divorce to occur, then if you break your oath, no divorce takes effect. Rather, you are required to pay the expiation for an oath, which is: feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If you cannot find the means to do so, then fast for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
