Pension of a deceased husband allocated to his children: may she spend from it on them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 16335 )
Q: I am an elderly woman, and my husband has passed away. He receives a pension from his job amounting to 1,500 riyals. He has a daughter who is 22 years old and a son who is 16 years old. The amount is divided so that each of us receives 500 riyals. They have an older brother who is an employee with a salary of 3,000 riyals; he has a wife and children, and his salary is not sufficient to provide for all of them. My question is: Am I entitled to spend from this pension on them (the son and the daughter), because I am sometimes forced to borrow from people when I need a specific amount , and I am unable to spend from it, out of fear of Allah, since it is the money of orphans that comes to them from their father’s pension, or should I only spend on them from it, and not be entitled to spend it on household needs and other things?
A: It is permissible for you to spend from your children’s pension on yourself, your children, and your house to the extent of need.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
