Contract Formulations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 4123 )
Q5: I have heard many of the contract formulations, including the words: “I have married you to,”
“I have given you possession of,” and “I have wed you.” Which is the correct one?

A5: Any formulation that indicates the marriage contract is valid for the marriage contract, such as the formulations mentioned and those with similar meanings, according to the stronger of the two opinions of the scholars. The most explicit are: “I have wed you” and “I have married you to,” followed by “I have given you possession of.” And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
