If they agree on khul' with the deferral of what the woman pays until the time of her marriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 19783 )
Q: If we mediate to resolve a problem between a husband and wife, and the wife pays a specific amount in exchange for khul', with the time of payment being when that wife gets married, is there any objection to this when she redeems herself from her husband, in the case where she fears that he will not uphold the limits of Allah the Exalted? Knowing that this does not happen except with the consent of both parties, and the husband is satisfied with that condition and the agreed-upon time, we hope for your answer, may Allah preserve you.
A: There is no objection to the compensation for khul' being deferred to a known time, but deferring it until the marriage of the woman seeking khul' is not valid; because it is not known. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
The nineteenth volume of the Fatwas of the Permanent Committee has been completed—by the praise of Allah—and following it, by His permission, is the twentieth volume, the first of which is (Divorce).
