Q2: If a man married and his father gave him in marriage, and part of the mahr was haram, for example, stolen, is this contract invalid? The one who paid the mahr was the father of this man.
A2: If the situation is as described, the marriage contract is valid, and it is obligatory for the one who stole the money or usurped it, for example, to return its value to the one from whom it was stolen or his heirs, along with sincere repentance and seeking forgiveness, so that perhaps Allah will accept his repentance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
