Q9: What is your ruling regarding female actresses who commit lewdness in front of everyone, some of whom display their bodies openly and blatantly before all who watch them on the screen, whether young or old, and regarding male actors who commit evil with them through kissing and caressing? Do not these actors and actresses leave the religion, while they defy Allah? May Allah reward you with good.
A9: This is a manifest evil, the prohibition of which is known from the religion by necessity. Whoever does it out of mockery or believes it is permissible is a disbeliever who has left the religion of Islam. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
