Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We say: "The reality of the matter is that every one who denies the divine attributes is one who likens Allah to creation, and every one who likens Allah to creation is one who denies the divine attributes".
Glory be to Allah! Every one who denies the divine attributes is one who likens Allah to creation. Why does the one who denies the attributes deny them? To escape likening Allah to creation. How can you say that the one who denies the attributes is one who likens Allah to creation? Yes, it is not possible for one who denies the attributes to be one who likens Allah to creation, when he only denies them to escape likening Allah to creation.
Now, as for the one who likens Allah to creation, we say that he is one who denies the divine attributes. How can you say he is one who denies the attributes when he affirms the attributes now? He says: I testify that Allah has a Face, hands, an Eye, and feet. Yes, I testify to that, but they are like those of the created beings. How can you say that you are one who denies the attributes? Huh? Let us see now. The important thing is that at first glance, you would say this is a contradiction. How can the one who denies the attributes be one who likens Allah to creation? And how can the one who likens Allah to creation be one who denies the attributes? Listen to the report.
