The agent increasing the invoice amount above the actual price for his own benefit

Fatwa number ( 15376 )
Q: It happens among car workshop owners when one of them repairs a car. If the car needs spare parts, he buys the parts and asks the shop owner to write on the invoice an amount higher than the actual value. He takes this full amount from the car owner, and the difference is for him. What is the Islamic ruling on this action?
A: It is obligatory for the Muslim to be truthful in transactions, and it is not permissible for him to lie
and to take people’s money without right. This includes the case where his brother entrusts him with buying something for him; it is not permissible for him to take from him an amount exceeding the price he paid. Likewise, it is not permissible for the seller to write a false price on the invoice to deceive the principal, causing him to pay more than the actual value, which the agent then takes. This is because it is cooperation in sin and aggression, and consuming people’s wealth unjustly. No Muslim’s wealth is lawful except by his own willing consent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
