Q8: Is it permissible for one who wishes to perform i'tikaf to designate a specific day for i'tikaf?
A8: He may not designate a specific day to habitually perform i'tikaf, but he should strive to perform i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
