The benefit of the endowment ceased and it was sold, so what should be done with its price?

Fatwa No. ( 5975 )
Q: We have a grandfather named Nasser al-Mulham who passed away many years ago. He owned a third of a date palm grove. The owner of the remaining two-thirds died, and the date palms withered. Because the benefits of the property ceased, the property was sold. Each heir took his share, but the share of the aforementioned grandfather has remained in the bank for more than three years. Today, the date palms remain, but their fruit is of no value to people because, first, there is no one to pollinate them, and second, there is no one to harvest them. I suggested to one of the heirs that we use the money to build a mosque, but he said: We will use it for the 'Id sacrifice and similar things. We hope you will guide us to what you see as best, and may Allah guide you to what is good and correct. Peace be upon you. Note that the amount is approximately one hundred and eighty thousand riyals.
A: It is permissible to spend the aforementioned price on a small house or shop, which becomes an endowment for your grandfather, and its income is spent on what your grandfather specified in the bequest. There is no objection to sharing a house or shop with another endowment. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
