He endowed a house for the needy among his daughters, then the ownership of the house was revoked after his death in exchange for monetary compensation

Fatwa No. ( 15326 )
Q: My maternal grandfather, 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd al-Sanadi, passed away leaving behind a small house in Shaqra and some money. The money was divided among his heirs: his three daughters and his brothers. As for the house, he endowed it for his daughters who are in need, as appears from the deed of the house, a copy of which is attached, containing the text of the endowment.
The ownership of the house was revoked in two stages, and the compensation was estimated at approximately one hundred thousand riyals, which the court paid to me after appointing a supervisor for the endowment. Since none of my grandfather's daughters remain except my mother, who—by the praise of Allah—does not need the endowment housing, I am investing the value of the endowment and sacrificing a single animal for my grandfather each year, as stated in the endowment deed, and I add the remaining income to the principal and invest it. The question: Is it permissible for me to spend what remains of the endowment income after the sacrifice on righteous deeds, such as jihad, building mosques, and paying off my brother's debt? May Allah bless your life and benefit us with your knowledge
.

A: You must strive to purchase a house to replace the endowment whose ownership was revoked, so that it becomes a permanent endowment. After purchasing it and renting it out, you should carry out the sacrifice specified in the bequest from the rent, and whatever exceeds that should be spent on righteous deeds and avenues of good, such as assisting in the construction of mosques, giving charity to the poor and needy, and supporting the mujahideen in the path of Allah, provided that you prioritize the repairs and maintenance needed for the endowment. And Allah knows best. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
