Extracting Bees from the Mountains
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 4799 )
Q: I am a citizen of the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and we have a phenomenon of bee leakage, meaning that there are some places in the mountains where bees have lived for many years between and inside difficult rocks. When a person wants to keep bees, he brings a hive, which is usually a stacked wooden box about two meters long, hollowed out inside and open at both ends, and then he traps the bees that
inside the rock for a full day, and then he places the hive at the door of the rock and opens the rock for the bees to come out, so that their path is through the hive. After the bees come out, he blocks the end of the hive on the rock side and leaves the incoming bees to remain in the hive. When it is full, he blocks the other end and carries it to the place where he wants to put it. Since I recently heard that this phenomenon of extraction is not permissible and is forbidden, I ask you to issue a fatwa for me, and may Allah preserve you.
A: If no one before you has taken possession of this bees by placing his hand on them, caring for them, and repairing their place, it is permissible for you to move them to a wooden or non-wooden hive, whether you keep them in the same place or move them to another place.
