The traveler, if he returns to his city for a period of two days, does he shorten the prayer?

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 7075 )
Q2: There is a young Muslim man who studies in a city 112 km away from his own city. This young man goes to study for a week or two, and returns to his city on Thursday and Friday (the weekly holiday). He asks: Does he shorten the prayer on these two days when he returns to his city, or not? Knowing that when he is in his city, he does not encounter any problems or hardship.
that would lead him to shorten the prayer, and knowing also that the sufficient duration for not shortening is 4 days, i.e., twenty prayers.
A2: He does not shorten the prayer in his city, whether he stays there for a day or less or more; because he is not a traveler. And he does not shorten the prayer in his place of study according to the correct of the two opinions of the scholars; because he stays a stay that cuts off the ruling of travel. However, he shortens the four-rak'ah prayer that he prays in his travel, between his city and his place of study. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
