Q3: What is the appropriate amount for the imam to recite in the loud prayers, given that there are elderly men behind him, and what is also the appropriate amount of time between the adhan and the iqamah?
A3: This varies according to the circumstances of the congregants in the mosque, so let each imam consider the condition of his mosque’s congregation; for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Bulugh al-Maram 2:316 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
