The Book of Jewels

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 9897 )
Q1: Attached is a small booklet titled (The Jewels in the Punishment of the People of Major Sins). I have read it in full and found in it many hadiths and statements that specify rewards, merits, punishment, and retribution. Among these are the rewards for prayer, bowing, prostration, and reciting al-Fatihah, and the saying "Glory be to my Lord, the Most High" and "Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent" in half a page (11), and much more. My question is: is everything contained in this
book authentic and relied upon, and do you advise me to rely on it and take it as a reference, or do you advise me to stay away from it? I ask Allah to guide us all to what He loves and is pleased with.

A1: The book The Jewels in the Punishment of the People of Major Sins by the Shaykh Zayn al-Din al-Malibari is not considered a source to be relied upon for rulings, nor for distinguishing between major and minor sins, nor for supplications and dhikr. We advise you to refer to the book Bulugh al-Maram by Ibn Hajar, and its commentary Subul al-Salam by al-San'ani, and Nail al-Awtar Sharh Muntakha al-Akhbar by al-Shawkani, for hadiths of rulings; for knowing supplications and dhikr, refer to al-Kalim al-Tayyib by Ibn Taymiyyah, and the book al-Adhkar by al-Nawawi, ; and for knowing major sins and their punishment, refer to the book al-Kabair by al-Dhahabi, and the book al-Kabair by Ibn Hajar al-Haytami . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
