(Explanation of the statement of the theologians that the body is of the third type, and Ibn al-Qayyim’s refutation of them, and the explanation that modern science supports the statement of the theologians) And of the atoms

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He says: "And of the atoms according to" Yes, the body is also composed
"And of the atoms according to the masters of theology, and that is also clearly false"
The body, according to the philosophers, is composed of the fourth type of composition, and according to the theologians, it is of the third type, of the third type. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned the falsity of the first, then mentioned the falsity of the second. He said: "And that is also clearly false"
"So those who affirm the individual atom which they claimed to be the foundation of religion and faith
They said that the body is composed of it, and they have a disagreement, and it is of colors"

These people who claim that the body is composed of individual atoms, of individual atoms, modern science actually supports his statement. But Ibn Taymiyyah and Shaykh al-Islam Ibn al-Qayyim, the material science had not reached what it has reached today. So they deny this and say that the individual atom, which is that which cannot be divided, is an impossible thing. There is nothing that is not capable of division, even the tip of a needle is capable of division. There is no thing that is not capable of division. So if you say that every composite is capable of division, it would necessitate that you describe Allah as being nothing, and it would necessitate that you describe the human being also as being nothing, or it would necessitate for you the affirmation of the human being and the claim that it is composed of individual atoms. And for this reason
"They said that the body is composed of it, and they have a disagreement, and it is of colors"
Meaning types of disagreement
"Is it possible for composition to be from two parts, or from four, or six and eight
or sixteen "

How many opinions are there? Two parts, four parts, six parts, eight parts, sixteen parts. Five opinions.
"Al-Ash'ari has narrated this for one who has opinions on clarification"
Al-Maqalat is a book titled *Maqalat al-Islamiyyin* by al-Ash'ari (may Allah have mercy on him). He mentioned these types of compositions and refuted the false among them.
