Writing False Stories
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 6252 )
Q7: Is it permissible for a person to write stories from the fabric of imagination, where everything in them is actually false, but he presents them as stories for children to read and take lessons from?
A7: It is forbidden for a Muslim to write these false stories. The Qur'anic and Prophetic stories, and others that narrate reality and represent the truth, are sufficient for moral lessons and good admonition. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
