The imam’s intention includes the ma’mum, both men and women

Fatwa number ( 1460 )
Q: If women pray in congregation with men, is it a condition for the validity of their following that the imam specifically intends to lead them, or is the intention of imamah sufficient in general without distinguishing between men and women, or is the imam required to intend imamah in general?
A: The imam’s intention of imamah is sufficient for the men and women who pray behind him, and there is no need to single out the women with an intention specific to them; because there is no evidence indicating that. They used to pray with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is not reported that he singled them out with a specific intention.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
