Combining Two Intentions in a Voluntary Prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 11021 )
Q1: Is it permissible to intend two intentions in a voluntary prayer? For example, if I go to the mosque and pray two rak'ahs as a voluntary prayer, intending them to be both the greeting of the mosque and a regular voluntary prayer attached to one of the obligatory prayers - may Allah reward you with good?
A1: If a Muslim enters the mosque and prays two rak'ahs, intending them to be both the regular voluntary prayer and the greeting of the mosque, that suffices for him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
