The Principles of Rulings in the Shari'ah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth and fifth questions of Fatwa number ( 3701 )
Q4: The Messenger of the Two Weighty Matters, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), said:
I have left with you two matters: the Book of Allah and my Sunnah. You will not go astray as long as you hold fast to them.تركت فيكم أمرين: كتاب الله وسنتي، لن تضلوا ما استمسكتم بهما
Are there any other evidences in Islamic legal rulings besides these two?

A4: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... And after: The rulings of the Shari'ah are based on the texts from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and what is added to them from scholarly consensus and valid analogical reasoning that relies upon them. If a Muslim is unable to derive a ruling from its evidence, it is permissible for him to follow the most trustworthy scholar he knows; for Allah the Exalted said:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
