The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 5167 ):
Q6: Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:30] . How did the angels know that this successor would cause corruption on earth and shed blood, when no one knows the unseen except Allah?
A6 : Perhaps the angels knew that this successor would cause corruption on earth and shed blood either through specific knowledge from Allah, or through what they understood of human nature, for He informed them that He would create this type from clay like pottery, or they understood from the successor that he is the one who adjudicates between people regarding the injustices that occur among them and restrains them from prohibitions and sins. It was also said that they knew this from the deeds of the creations who were on earth before Adam. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
Q6: Allah the Exalted said:
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
