Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And His angels," and a discussion of the angels, their names, and their duties

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : "And His angels" is the plural of "malak" (angel). Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, mentioned the functions of the angels in general terms in His saying:
[who] made the angels messengers جاعل الملائكة رسلاً
[Fatir 35:1]
Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, sends them wherever He wills. So who are these angels? The angels are a hidden realm among the realms that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, created. They were created from light; Allah created them from light and made them solid, meaning they have no cavities, so they do not need to eat or drink. Rather, they are inspired with glorification; they glorify night and day without ceasing. It is obligatory for us to believe in this realm, namely the angels whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, created, and to believe that Allah, the Exalted, made them messengers, as in Surat al-Fatir:
[who] made the angels messengers جاعل الملائكة رسلاً
[Fatir 35:1]
Among these angels, there are some whose specific identities, meaning whose names, we know, and some whose names we do not know. There are some whose functions, which Allah charged them with, we know, and some whose functions we do not know.
