Question twenty-eight from Fatwa number ( 6505 ):
Q28: Is it permissible to recite the Qur'an when I am not in a state of major ritual impurity but I have not performed ablution, and is it permissible when I am not facing the qiblah?
A28: It is permissible to recite it for one who is not in a state of major ritual impurity, even if he has not performed ablution and is not facing the qiblah, but he must not touch the mushaf unless he is in a state of ritual purity from both major and minor ritual impurity. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
