It is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to recite the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourteenth question of the fatwa number (8859)
Q14: What is the ruling on reciting the Qur'an while in a state of major ritual impurity , whether from memory or by looking at the text, and what is the ruling on passing through the mosque for one who is in a state of major ritual impurity ?
A14: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions. And to proceed: It is not permissible for one in a state of major ritual impurity to recite the Qur'an until he performs the full ritual bath, whether he recites it from the mushaf or from memory. He may not recite from the mushaf except in a state of complete ritual purity from both major and minor states of impurity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
