Supplication by the status of the Messenger of Allah or by the status of a Companion or other

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 8818 ):
Q2: In the month of Ramadan, they supplicate after every two rak'ahs by one of the Companions, saying: "By the life of this noble Companion, may Allah accept our prayer and our fasting from us." I have advised them, but to no avail. After this, I pray for myself in a corner of the mosque. Do I have a prayer with them, or should I be on my own as I am? Please rule for us, may Allah reward you with the best reward.
A2: Supplication by the status of the Messenger of Allah, or by the status of a Companion or other, or by his life, is not permissible; because acts of worship are based on divine legislation, and Allah has not legislated that. Rather, He has legislated for His servants to seek nearness to Him, the Exalted, through His names and attributes, through the oneness of Allah, through faith in Him, and through righteous deeds. The status of so-and-so, or his life, is not part of that. Therefore, it is obligatory for those who are accountable to restrict themselves to what Allah, the Exalted, has legislated. By this, it is known that seeking nearness to Allah by the status of so-and-so, his life, or his right is a religious innovation introduced into the religion. It is authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718a
It is agreed upon that it is authentic. And he (peace be upon him) said:
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b

Imam Muslim narrated it in his Sahih. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
