The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed the sunnah of Dhuha and encouraged it, and we are students who have a desire to perform it.

The questioner : Your Eminence, may Allah preserve you, you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the sunnah of Dhuha and encouraged it. We are students, and we, the students, have a desire to perform it. Is there a word to the school principals, vice principals, and teachers to designate a room for those who wish to perform it?

The Shaykh : I cannot say this. I am afraid that he will go to pray, yes, and then he will be distracted with his classmate and the opportunity will be lost. And they, if Allah wills, as long as they are in the pursuit of knowledge, the pursuit of knowledge is better than the voluntary prayer. However, some scholars have said: that the sunnah of Dhuha is not prescribed, and some of them said: it is not prescribed for one who stands in night prayer. But the stronger position is: that the sunnah of Dhuha is a sunnah on all days. Even if there were nothing else for it except that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that:
Every limb of the body has a charity due upon it each morning يصبح على كل عضو من أعضاء البدن صدقة
, and the limbs, meaning: the joints, three hundred and sixty joints, how much do they need every day? Three hundred and sixty acts of charity. But glorifying Allah is a charity, enjoining good and forbidding evil is a charity, and removing a harmful object from the path is a charity. He said:
And that is sufficient for it - meaning it suffices for it - two rak'ahs that one prays from Dhuha ويجزئ من ذلك - يعني يجزء عنه - ركعتان يركعهما من الضحى
So if it is easy for you to pray them, that is what is sought, and if it is not easy, you are in good, if Allah wills.

The questioner : During the break, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : The break is possible, the break is possible, but for us to designate a place for whoever wants to pray, I am afraid there will be mischief, and you know that young boys are not on the same level.
Yes, conclude.

The questioner : May Allah reward our Eminence, the Shaykh, with the best reward, and bless his life, and gather us and you in obedience to Him, and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant and messenger Muhammad.
