When is a weak hadith accepted?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 9105 ):
Q3: Is it true that a weak hadith is not acted upon except in matters of the virtues of deeds, whereas it is not acted upon in legal rulings?
A3: First: A weak hadith is accepted in matters of the virtues of deeds if its weakness is not severe, it is established that they are among the virtues of deeds in general, and the weak hadith comes regarding their details. Second: A weak hadith is acted upon in establishing legal rulings if it is strengthened by another hadith with the same meaning, or if its chains of transmission are multiple and it becomes well-known; because it then falls under the category of
hasan li-ghayrihi, which is the fourth category of hadiths that are used as evidence. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
