Q2: What is the rank of Ibn Ishaq ibn Yasar among the hadith scholars? Is he trustworthy or not?
Vol. 2: Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani said in [Taqrib al-Tahdhib], and his exact words are: Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Yasar, Abu Bakr al-Mutalibi, their Madi client, a resident of Iraq, the imam of the biographies of the campaigns, trustworthy but one who conceals defects, and he was accused
Shiah tendencies and Qadariyyah beliefs. He is from the younger members of the fifth generation. He died in the year 150 AH, or it is said after that. His biography has been elaborated in [Tahdhib al-Tahdib], so refer to it if you wish, for the sake of complete benefit. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and his family and his Companions.
