The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 9450 ):
Q: How many divisions are there of the Sunnah?
A: The Sunnah can be divided into three categories; because it is either
the Sunnah consists of the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or his actions, or his approvals, and there is a fourth category which relates to his creation and his character (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
